Timothee Chalamet made headlines this week when he rolled onto the red carpet.
In a bid to make sure he arrived at the London premiere of his film A Complete Unknown on time through London traffic, though, he decided to rent and hop on a Lime bike.
He made it just in the nick of time, riding the bright green contraption directly on to the red carpet and posing with it in front of the photo wall promoting the Bob Dylan biopic.

But the star recently revealed he bit off more than he could chew for the viral stunt.
It turns out that when he parked the bike on the red carpet, it was done “incorrectly”, thus leading to the Dune star copping a fine of about £60, equating to $118.
The Little Women actor shared the update on the French talk show Quotidien, telling the hosts in French, “It’s horrible, because it was a bit of an advertisement for them.”

A-Lister’s speedy red carpet arrival leaves fans stunned
Aidan Zamiri, a photographer who attended the premiere alongside Chalamet, shared a screenshot of his phone notifications from the Lime app on his Instagram stories, warning them about “incorrect parking”, backing up the actor’s claim.
When asked why he decided to ride the bike in the first place, Chalamet simple quipped “It’s ecological!”.

Then he quickly admitted, “I needed to get to the premiere on time.”
The host of the show joked about whether the electric bike move was an elaborate tie-in to the book, Dylan Goes Electric, which the biopic is based on.
The film follows a 19-year-old Bob Dylan’s arrival to New York city in 1961, where he decided to leave behind folk music and switch to electric guitars and form a band.
But Chalamet says the stunt was unrelated: “No, there were loads of traffic jams,” he explained.
