Directed and written by Dharmaraj Shetty, Akka is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, alongside Yogendra Mogre and Akshaye Widhani of YRF Entertainment. The series’ teaser, featuring breathtaking visuals shot across various South Indian locations, hints at a grand cinematic experience filled with power struggles and emotional depth.
Pooja Dey reflects on her role in Akka: “It’s something for which I have waited so long”
Professionally, Pooja made her acting debut with Dating in the Dark and later took on a lead role in JioCinema’s web series Fuh Se Fantasy. She appeared in the action film Maaya 4 and the short film Oas. Akka marks another project in her career.
Pooja Dey is all set to captivate audiences once again in YRF Entertainment’s upcoming project, Akka, which will be released on Netflix.
She commented, “Yes, I am part of the same and to know more about the character you have to wait for the release. But I am very excited as it’s something which I have waited for so long. I am longing to see myself on screen now in a different zone which people haven’t seen ever.”
